'Patoot'

Patoot is short for 'Cutie Patootie'. She's the backyard chicken we co-raise with my 8 year old neighbour, Seb, who is obsessed with chickens. Patoot has a very happy life being attended to by Seb daily, who crosses the road to jump into the coop morning and night. He has tamed her so much she will happily be cuddled by him and sometimes even perch on his arm.

The canvases are stretched over 38mm finger-jointed hoop pine, and the frames are constructed from ethically sourced American Ash.
