'Foraged Flora And A Tomtit, NZ'
33x43cm, oils on canvas, sustainable American Ash float frame.
This piece was inspired by a recent cycling trip to New Zealand. I foraged flowers every day, took photos of pretty flora growing roadside, and noticed every gorgeous flower, weed and plant I passed! On one particular day, a little bird, a Tomtit, followed me for ages as I was riding, darting in and out of the trees.
This painting comes professionally framed in natural timber and is ready to hang with a rear wire. This piece is hand signed on the rear and front of the piece. A signed certificate of authenticity will also be included. All my canvases and frames are professional quality, and handmade in Australia by professional artists supplier, Southern Buoy. The canvases are stretched over 38mm finger-jointed hoop pine, and the frames are constructed from ethically sourced American Ash. The paints I use are all professional quality oils, varnished in a satin finish. Ready to hang.
